This piece was inspired by one of my much older (and more embarrassing, looking back) pieces, titled "The Queen".
I hoped with this image to bring justice to the character, which I failed at before, also it was sort of a test to see how much I'd improved...

Any critique is most welcome, as always. ^^ Painted with PS CS4 and Wacom bamboo fun tablet.

Thanks!
I tried with this piece to bring the focus to her eyes in particular, both with the bright makeup and creating an illusion of sharpness and focus on her face.
Painted with PS7 and Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.
Grew up and lost control
Fed her blood to entities
Now they possess her soul

What a shame, what a shame
Poor girl, what a shame
Just like her father, but really who's to blame

Stay away, stay away
Sweet girl, stay away
Listen to your mother, its really not a game

Look away, look away
Stupid girl, look away
Your fate be in the cards, but I beg you look away

What a shame, what a shame
Poor girl, what a shame
Poisoned on the inside, but its really all the same
(kudos to my sis for helping me write that )
I worked on this piece for quite a long time. (probably over two months, on and off *cough* ) There's a story behind it, and the poems describe it vaguely. In a nutshell, she's a young woman whose taken with her father's obsession against her mothers wishes and ends up giving her soul away to demons. She's able to read fates with her cards, so I've pictured her reading her own.

Many thanks to those at PixelBrush forums for their unwavering help throughout.
I'm very happy to be calling myself finished with this after all this time, but I'm still willing to make changes if some crits are thrown at me, so critique away!
I've tried to create a sense of depth, focusing in on the character. Also, I wanted to bring out some emotion yet leave her almost lifeless in the cold...

Comments and constructive crits welcome~

Thanks for looking ^_^
